Aku bukannya tamak tapiii....

281107 0850

I was suppose to do the tag from Carol and Emily but I just got really blur and blank and really can't think. (did I say this twice already?).

Yesterday was a very frustrating day for me. I really need the internet connection to run well because I was suppose to get email and prints a lot of reports out of it BUT the connection seems too jelous of me that it keeps on coming out as error everytime I log in.

Ok enough of the bla..bla..bla... The title is all about this story that I am going to tell you.I've received this email fro a friend and feel like I really need post it here. Yes I know it is a lame old story but what the h**k I don't care I still want to post it here so you guys just have to read it. LOL (evil laugh....)

"Pada satu hari, Pak Ali pergi ke hutan untuk mencari kayu api. Apabila lalu kat kawasan tasik, Pak Ali tergelincir dan kapak buruknye terjatuh dalam tasik tu. Maka datanglah Pari Pari Tasik kepada Pak Ali.
Pari Pari: Kenapa dengan kau?
Pak Ali: Kapak aku terjatuh kedalam tasik.
Pari Pari pun menyelam dan kembali bersama kapak perak.
Pari Pari: Inikah kapak kamu?
Pak Ali: Tidak. Pari Pari pun menyelam dan kembali bersama kapak emas.
Pari Pari: Inikah kapak kamu?
Pak Ali: Tidak, kapak aku buruk sahaja. Pari pari pun menyelam dan kembali bersama kapak buruk.
Pari Pari: Inikah kapak kamu?
Pak Ali: Ya, itulah kapak buruk aku.

Pak Ali susah hati. Maka datanglah Pari Pari Tasik kepada Pak Ali.

Pari Pari: Kenapa kau bersedih?
Pak Ali: Isteriku jatuh kedalam tasik. Pari Pari pun menyelam dan kembali bersama Christina Aguilera.
Pari Pari: Inikah isteri kau?
Sambil menangis Pak Ali menjawab... "ya, itulah isteriku..."
Pari Pari pun marah, "Sungguh ku tak sangka, kau yang jujur satu masa dulu telah menjadi tamak".

Sambil menahan pilu Pak Ali menjawab, "Aku bukan tamak, kalau aku kata 'tidak' pada Christina Aguilera... kau akan bawakan pula Britney Spears...kalau aku katakan 'tidak' juga, barulah kau bawakan isteriku...bila aku kata 'ya', kau akan berikan mereka bertiga padaku...". Aku yang miskin ni tak mampu tanggung mereka semua".

My angels

24th Nov 2007 0915

Every time Christmas approaches I always have in mind this question "What gift am I going to buy for my two younger brother?". You see there are growing up, I mean really fast. I can't still buy them those cheap toys anymore nor can I afford to buy them those expensive gifts. I ever once ask them to write their wish list for Christmas gift and when I read it OMG OMG OMG they ask for Hand phone (with specific brand some more), PSP, Xbox... and all the expensive gadget yo just name it, its in their list.(Mati la kakak kamurang macam ni).

Well this year, I sort of give them advance Christmas gift (I share with my 2nd sister actually). A trip to KL and of course having fun at Genting City of Entertainment.

(I can't really remember when this photo taken but surely not this year)

Well I think I will need to start cracking my head to think what are the things to buy for their second Christmas gift.

House anyone..?

231107 1200

I have been planning or should I say more to been dreaming to build my own house since I finish my study way back in 2000. And now it is begining to come true. Well nothing much happen actually, just visualizing and cost accounting actually. Land? hehehe got already, $$? ermmmm.. got the plan where to look for, plan?.... ermmmmm imaginary yes... Actually my family house is quite big and spacey.(did I spell it correct?).As for me, well I don't really like a big house. Anybody can give me some idea how big I can build a house with RM150,000.00 budget?

I know..I know... it is frustrating when you have the image in your mind but can't even transfer it in the paper.(again being someone who is not artistic). So apa lagi, I browse through the net and wallaaaaa.... found these two sites with a lot of house plans and picture.

cool house plans

eplans

Well the truth is, the pictures does not really match what I have in mind but at least I have a bit of what I dream of in some of the pictures. You know I really love house with a big veranda covering maybe 1/2 of the house, Split level single storey, with maybe 3 bedroom, 2 restroom, kitchen (of course la kan), separate dining room, family living room and guest living room. (wah what a dream got $$ ka?).

(I also want to have this type of landscape)

Well DH is a Quantity Sourveyor so I am sure he knows how to calculate the cost and put everything in place. As of now, I am doing my sourvey on what to put inside the house and how to decorate it.

Okey I should pen off now and browse for my dream Interior Design.(I ever dream once to become an Interior Designer but I fail in my "Lukisan". *sob..sob..sob..)

.......will be continue with the inside of the house.....

It's coming..

201107 0830

Yes, Christmas is coming. I think I am the only one who haven't talk about x'mas. Everybody else is soooo excited. Well to tell the truth, after my beloved mum passed away 4 years ago, Christmas for me is just another holiday. Really. You see, losing someone who is the one who always bring the light of x'mas in you house really makes you sad and can't even think about celebrating x'mas. But this year, I have been doing blog-hopping and eveybody seems to have the spirit of x'mas since as far as October, so thanks to you guys, now I am up and about. I myself is excited to celebrate x'mas.

With the fire burning up the excitment of x'mas, I do my usual surf of what christmas really means and everthing about x'mas in all things christmas . (not that I don't know what Christmas all about my whole life). You can definitley find everything you want to know about x'mas there.

Here are some of the things that I came accross:-

Christmas is an annual holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus. Christmas festivities often combine the commemoration of Jesus' birth with various secular customs, many of which have been influenced by earlier winter festivals. The date as a birthdate for Jesus is traditional, and is not considered to be his actual date of birth.

The word "Christmas" is a contraction of two words "Christ's mass" and is derived from the Middle English Christemasse and Old English Cristes mæsse, a phrase first recorded in 1038. In early Greek versions of the New Testament, the letter Χ (chi), is the first letter of Christ (Χριστός). Since the mid-16th century Χ, or the similar Roman letter X, was used as an abbreviation for Christ. Thus, Xmas is an abbreviation for Christmas.

The Christmas wreath is a symbol of god’s eternal love for us. The violet candle symbolizes faith and the rose colored candle the joy of the advent season. The first candle placed on the Christmas wreath is known as the Prophets candle signifying the hope of the arrival of Jesus’ arrival. The second candle is the Bethlehem candle, reminding people that God was born in a humble manner in a manger.

The third candle to be lit on the Xmas wreath is the Shepherds candle and the last is the angels candle. This is the symbol of the peace and joy that the advent season offers us. The Christmas wreaths are also used in the protestant churches and in all the parts of the world.

Presently you can select from a wide variety of Christmas wreaths that are easily available in the markets. You can select Balsam Fir or the Scotch pine as a background for the Christmas wreaths. Christmas wreaths are placed in homes on the front doors or the balcony. This is a sign that you welcome the advent season into your house.
You can select from a wide range of Christmas wreaths according to the other home decorations. The Christmas wreathe can also be decorated by the use of ribbons and bells. The wreaths can be given a personal touch by adding some natural cones and berries to the wreathe. The Christmas wreathe can easily be detached as you take down the decorations of your house and keep it for the next advent season. Christmas wreathes can also be made by your own hands. With a little imagination and creativity it is possible to prepare a wreathe that will delight you and add to the beauty of the Christmas decorations as well.

Did you know that…

.......In Brazil, Christmas presents are hidden outdoors (it is warm and they do not have to worry about snow) and children have to search for them.
.......The words 'Kriss Kringle' mean Christ-child and form the basis of a medieval legend that the infant Jesus himself gave presents.
.......A South Carolina mother had her 12-year-old son arrested for opening his Christmas presents too early in 2006.
........Buy-Nothing-Christmas is a movement that wishes to de-commercialize Christmas by inviting people to become members and practice the group’s ideals. The campaign later changed into a broader “Buy Nothing Day”. The “Buy Nothing Day” website says the special non-buying day is now observed in 55 countries.
........Have you ever wondered about the total cost of each item in the "Twelve Days of Christmas" song? The grand total of the contents of the song for 2006 is $18,920.59. And that's in U.S. Dollars!

how I wish this is how we choose christmas tree here in Sabah.

Sisters...

191107 2030

Something so beautiful to share with you...

A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day, drinking iced tea and visiting with her Mother.
As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations ofadulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter.

"Don't forget your Sisters," she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. "They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need Sisters. Remember to go places with them now and then; do things with them."

"Remember that 'Sisters' means ALL the women...your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other women relatives too. "You'll need other women. Women always do."

What a funny piece of advice!' the young woman thought. Haven't I just gotten married? Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely my husband and the family we may start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!'

But she listened to her Mother. She kept contact with her Sisters and made more women friends each year. As the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her Mom really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman, Sisters are the mainstays of her life.

After more than 30+ years of living in this world, here is what I've learned:

THIS SAYS IT ALL:

Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.
Hearts break.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors.
Careers end.
BUT.........

Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you.
A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach.
When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your lifewill be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at thevalley's end.

Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walkbeside you...
Or come in and carry you out.
Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers,Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our life!

The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys orsorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other.

Every day, we need each other still.

Some brilliant idea for your guys

191107 0830

As my daily exercises, as soon as I switch on my computer, I will go through my emails.

I am sure most of you guys heard about the possibilities that the petrol price will increase again. Well last week while having our breakfast, me and my colleague talk about what will happen if the oil price increase but our salary never increase (I am not working with the government you know..Lucky those government peeps). And this morning, as if somebody heard what we discussed and the possibilities will happen, I received this email showing exactly the things we've thought of:-

Just imagine what will happen if this really happen? LOL

Being creative

121107 2020

Browsing through the net, I came across some of the creative and beautiful wedding invitation cards.

I've made my own wedding invitations as personal as it can be. I love making and creating things myself.Being someone who really not an artist, sometimes its difficult for me to express what I have in mind.

With the school holiday starting and end of the year approching, I am 101% sure most of you out there is getting married.Well school holiday and christmas coming, it can be considered as double celebration for those celebrating x'mas rite? so for those of you who have not think about what type of invitation card to print, why don't you go for "handmade" invitation card?. ya i know... I know.... you already have plenty in hand and have to make your own invitation card?.

Well I think making your own card maybe just for 100 pcs and the rest you can order from the printing shop (if the time does not permit). At least you got something to be proud of

Ok...ok... for those who are interested and still have time in their hand to make your own personalized wedding invitation cards, why don't you visit this site http://www.cardscreative.com/ or if you want to have a unique invitation card, why don't you visit these site http://www.creativeweddingcards.com/ , and http://www.americanwedlock.com/

It's Monday again... and again...

1345

Yes its Monday again.. and again.. and again.. like before, I will have this awful feeling for Monday. But since the time is ticking very fast and I need to finish up all the outstanding things to do before year end.... then NOW I really don't want Monday to end.

Arghhhh.!!!!

Don't you... ?

101107 1845

........hate it when the person who never show his/her love and care towards you your whole life and now trying to get your attention and want you to take care of him/her?

........ hate it when the above person never love the person who you really love your whole life and even talk bad about him/her even when they are no more in this world?

....... hate it when that particular person couldn't careless about you before and now when he/she fell sick, will look for this "dirty creature" for care and love?

Yes.... yes.... I know, at Sunday school I teach those small children to forgive and forget. yes I know it is better to let bygone be bygone.... I've tried. It is a lie if I say I hate the person. Nope I don't hate him/her I just hate the way I was treated and how now I am the one who are suppose to be the good person. Paying bad things with good things.

Arghhhhhhh.....!!!!! just let it end!!!!.

I am glad

1330

Happy Depavali to all those who are celebrating the festival of light especially to Deana (I know you are in Seremban right now.) and family in-law.

I remember the first and last time I join this celebration 14 years ago in Kedah. I was selected as one of the participant for "Golden Bridge" programme together with art-faye. That was my first time eating the "original" Indian food. Sedap woooo. (biasa la jakun kan. Selalu makan pinasakan jak. ;p).

Okey enough of the food. Just remember last nite i watch this CSI Miami and yessssss!!!!! Eric Delco is still alive!!!!!!!!! but sadly he is not going to be the same Eric anymore. He sort of lost his memory. I feel like crying when all his friend really show that they care and do their very best to track down the culprit. Thumbs up to you guys. Lagi sad when he ask for his sister Marisol.*sob...sob..*.

okey enough of the teary eye. me need to start me work. o btw i am in the offie. believe it or not... what on Public Holiday?!!!.. believe it. XD

Soalan Licik, Jawapan Cerdik

1530

I'm back... received this in my inbox today and tought of sharing it with everybody.

Abu: Bersalaman

Cikgu Murni: Baik, sekarang saya akan ajukan soalan berbentuk siapakah saya, okay?

Abu: Baik Cikgu

Cikgu Murni: Awak memasukkan batang kedalam saya. Awak ikat saya untuk saya berdiri. Saya kebasahan sebelum awak.

Abu: Khemah

Cikgu Murni: Jari memasuki saya. Awak menggesel-gesel saya bila awak teringatkan saya. Lelaki idaman akan mendapat saya dulu.

Pengetua semakin resah dan tidak selesa. Lantas terus meneguk segelas Nescafe 3in1.

Abu: Cincin perkahwinan

Abu: Hidung

Cikgu Murni: Saya batang yang keras. Hujungnya tajam. Saya akan datang dan masuk dengan lajunya.

Abu: Anak panah

All Souls Day

021107 0900

Here I am again. Haven't started my work yet (Edgar don't tell anybody. lol). After posting about All Saints Day which was yesterday, it is unfair if I don't post about The All Souls Day right. (But I still can't figure it out as to why the day for all saint's vigil was called halloween) So here I am again sharing with you guys a bit of infor on the said celebration (can it be called celebration?):-

All Souls DayAll Soul's Day (sometimes called the "Day of the Dead") is always November 2 (November 3rd if the 2nd falls on a Sunday).

All Soul's Day is a Roman Catholic day of remembrance for friends and loved ones who have passed away. This comes from the ancient Pagan Festival of the Dead, which celebrated the Pagan belief that the souls of the dead would return for a meal with the family. Candles in the window would guide the souls back home, and another place was set at the table. Children would come through the village, asking for food to be offered symbolically to the dead, then donated to feed the hungry.

The day purposely follows All Saint's Day in order to shift the focus from those in heaven to those in purgatory. It is celebrated with masses and festivities in honor of the dead. While the Feast of All Saints is a day to remember the glories of Heaven and those there, the Feast of All Souls reminds us of our obligations to live holy lives and that there will be purification of the souls of those destined for Heaven.

The Christian holiday of All Soul's Day pays respect and remembers the souls of all friends and loved ones who have died and gone to heaven. The living pray on behalf of Christians who are in purgatory, the state in the afterlife where souls are purified before proceeding to heaven. Souls in purgatory, who are members of the church just like living Christians, must suffer so that they can be purged of their sins. It is a time to pray for their souls that they may be received into heaven.

Upon death, it is believed that souls have not yet been cleansed of sin. Praying for souls of loved ones helps to remove the stain of sin, and allow the souls to enter the pearly gates of heaven. Through prayer and good works, living members of the church may help their departed friends and family. There are three Requiem Masses that are said by the clergy to assist the souls from Purgatory to Heaven: one for the celebrant, one for the departed, and one for the pope.

The traditions of the Feast of All Souls began independently of the Feast of All Saints. The Feast of All Souls owes its beginning to seventh century monks who decided to offer the mass on the day after Pentecost for their deceased community members. In the late tenth century, the Benedictine monastery in Cluny chose to move their mass for their dead to November 2, the day after the Feast of all Saints. This custom spread and in the thirteenth century, Rome put the feast on the calendar of the entire Church. The date remained November 2 so that all in the Communion of the Saints might be celebrated together.

Many customs are associated with The Day of the Dead celebration. In the home an altar is made with an offering of food upon it. It is believed that the dead partake of the food in spirit and the living eat it later. The ofrendas (offerings) are beautifully arranged with flowers such as marigolds (zempasuchitl), which are the traditional flower of the dead. There is a candle placed for each dead soul, and they are adorned in some manner. Incense is also often used, and mementos, photos, and other remembrances of the dead also adorn the ofrenda.

It is also traditional in some areas to see the play Don Juan Tenorio. Paper mache and sugar skulls are popular, as are cardboard coffins from which a skeleton can be made to jump out. Special masks are also worn, allowing a person to achieve a facial expression for which they feel they are inadequate to achieve.

Traditional Catholics still honor customs related to the relief of the souls suffering in purgatory. One custom is for persons to pray six Our Fathers, Hail Mary's and Glory Be's for the intentions of the Pope in a church, and thereby, receive a plenary indulgence for a soul in purgatory. This action may be repeated for another soul, by leaving the church and re-entering it to repeat the prayers.

All Soul's Day lives on today, particularly in Mexico, where All Hallows' Eve, All Saint's Day and All Soul's Day are collectively observed as "Los Dias de los Muertos" (The Days of the Dead). First and foremost, the Days of the Dead is a time when families fondly remember the deceased. But it is also a time marked by festivities, including spectacular parades of skeletons and ghouls. In one notable tradition, revelers lead a mock funeral procession with a live person inside a coffin.

All Saints Day

021107 0800

1st November marked the day for all the Saints. I google through this web site ( www3.kumc.edu/diversity/ethnic) and got the slight idea on it. (Not that I don't know what All Saints Days mean my whole life). Here what it says ;-

All Saints' Day is a Christian holy day observed by many Western churches on November 1 and by Eastern churches on the first Sunday after Pentecost. The day now honors all saints of the church, even those not known by name.
The first All Saints' Day occurred on May 13, 609 (C.E.) when Pope Boniface IV accepted the Pantheon as a gift from the Emperor Phocas. Boniface dedicated it as the Church of Santa Maria Rotonda in honor of the Blessed Virgin and all martyrs. During Pope Gregory III's reign (731-741), the festival was expanded to include all saints and a chapel in St. Peter's church was dedicated accordingly. Pope Gregory IV officially designated the day in 837.
Roman Catholics are required to attend Mass and to "refrain from unnecessary servile work"¹ on this day.
And there's one site said that "The vigil of this feast is popularly called "Hallowe'en" or "Halloween". That only now I know (kesian o kan)
