Cantik kalau pandai

I always want to take beautiful picture (of course of me la). Some or should I say almost all of the picture that I saw in the facebook uploaded by my facebook friends look so beautiful even when it was taken while they were not ready or when they just woke up.

I never like to look at my own picture and I never like to take picture of myself. Why? because I always see me in that picture as "tidak lawa" or fat or just not photogenic. People say you no need to became so slim to take beautiful picture. Yes agreed. I watch American Next top Model and almost all of them does not look naturally beautiful but they take beautiful pictures. I want to be one of them and I just can't figure out why I can't take beautiful pictures. The only nice picture that I ever like to see is this :

and this

both are actually taken by professional.

I would love to ask Ratu Syura , Che'gu Carol, Mimi, Fie the elf and all of you out there, how do you take such a lovely and beautiful pictures of yourself (without asking for the professional to take for you)?

A special letter from a friend

Dear friends,
Topic: Increase of fuel price

First of all the below article is not mine, but I agree what it says and make sense to me as well. There are many explanation or rather excuses on why the gas price increased drastically, but after I read this and made a brief study on the issue, I felt cheated and sad. There are many questions and many answers, side by side. As for now - Where are we heading to? or where are they driving us to? This is disaster, this is punishment! NOT because merely the gas is increased but the fact that they look at us like an idiot!

The below article i paste from xspendang

WHAT IS NEVER MENTIONED IN Mainstream Media like NST/TheStar/Utusan/BH are these facts....

Malaysian PerCapita Income USD 5000
VS
Singaporean PerCapita Income USD 25000

Further The Star made a comparison of prices in Thailand , Singapore and Indonesia . For Thailand it is quoted at RM3.90/liter, however are they aware that in Thailand new cars are cheaper than Malaysia by RM10,000? They pay only one life time for their driving license? No renewal fee after that? Also that goes for road tax as well? And do TheStar also aware that you can drive all the way from Hadtyai to Bangkok on a six lane highway without paying any Tolls ??!!

Whereas here in Malaysia you have to pay yearly renewal for road tax , driving license and TOLLS, TOLLS, TOLLS!!!

For Singapore how can you quote RM 5.20 ? Please quote in Singapore Dollars because they are earning in Sing Dollars. You might as well say Europeans are paying RM10/liter. RM5.20/liter = Sing $ 2.20/liter, still cheaper than Malaysia in view of fact that Singapore is not a crude oil exporter. Are you saying that you fill up petrol in Singapore by paying Ringgit?

In economy, dollar to dollar must be compared as apple to apple. Not comparing like durian in M'sia is much cheaper than durian in Japan !! Of course-lah, Japan is not durian producer!!! Comparing Malaysian durian with Thailand durian make more sense!!

For Indonesia we might say is cheaper there at RM2.07/liter but compare that to their level of income!

This is true by fact! How can you compare Malaysia with Singapore or Thai or Indo? They are not oil producers for Gad sake! BUT WE ARE! Bawang are cheaper in India because they plant it, and here in Malaysia bawang are higher price because we buy them from India! The same concept applies here. Do you know that Banana a very expensive in Japan? and why is that? Think people! Take a calculator and figure it out, as simple as that. They said rm2.70/liter are cheaper than singapore which is rm5.20/liter. Read above and find out how the they fool you around like an idiot!

Now, let us compare the price with OIL PRODUCING countries:
UAE – RM1.19/litre
Eygpt – RM1.03/litre
Bahrain – RM0.87/litre
Qatar – RM0.68/litre
Kuwait – RM0.67/litre
Saudi Arabia – RM0.38/litre
Iran – RM0.35/litre
Nigeria – RM0.32/litre
Turkmenistan – RM0.25/litre
Venezuela – RM0.16/litre
MALAYSIA – RM2.70/litreRM 2.70!!! Individual perspective:

As of last month a Toyota Vios would 'cause a damage' of about RM 89,000.

In the international market, a Toyota Vios is about USD 19,000USD 19,000 = RM 62,700 (using the indicative rates of USD 1 = RM 3.30)That makes Malaysian Vios owners pay an extra RM 26,300.

This RM 26,300 should be cost of operations, profit and tax because the transportation costs have been factored in to the USD 19,000.

RM 26,300/ RM625 petrol rebate per year translates to a Vios being used for 42.08 years.I do understand that the RM 625 is a rebate given by the government, but it also means that one has to use the Vios for 42.08 years just to make back the amount paid in taxes for the usage of a foreign car. Would anyone use any kind of car for that long?

Now with these numbers in front of us, does the subsidy sound like a subsidy or does it sound like a penalty? This just seems to be a heavy increment in our daily cost of living as we are not only charged with high car taxes but also with a drastic increase in fuel price.

With all the numbers listed out, I urge all Malaysians to join me in analyzing the situation further.

Car taxation is government profit, fuel sales is Petronas' (GLC) profit which also translates into government profit. The government may ridicule us Malaysians by saying look at the world market and fuel price world wide. Please, we are Malaysians, we fought of the British, had a international port in the early centuries (Malacca), home to a racially mixed nation and WE ARE NOT STUPID!!!

We know the international rates are above the USD 130/barrel. We understand the fact that the fuel prices are increasing worldwide and we also know that major scientist are still contradicting on why this phenomenon is happening. Some blame Bush and his plunders around the world and some blame climate change and there are others which say petroleum 'wells' are getting scarce.

Again we go back to numbers to be more straight fwd

1 barrel = 159 liters x RM2.70/liter = RM 429 or USD 134

On 1 hand, we are paying the full cost of 1 barrel of crude oil with RM2.70 per liter but on the other hand the crude oil only produces 46% of fuel.

Msia sells crude oil per barrel at USD130 buys back Fuel per barrel at USD134. And not forgetting, every barrel of fuel is produced with 2 barrels of crude oil.

1 barrel crude oil = produce 46% fuel (or half of crude oil), therefore
2 barrel crude oil = approximately 1 barrel fuel
In other words, each time we sell 2 barrels of crude oil, equivalently we will buy back 1 barrel of fuel.

Financially,
Malaysia sell 2 barrel crude oil @ USD 130/barrel = USD 260 = RM 858
then, Malaysia will buy back fuel @ USD 134/barrel = RM 442/barrel
Thus, Malaysia earn net extra USD 126 = RM 416 for each 2 barrel of crude sold/exported vs imported 1 barrel of fuel !!!(USD 260-134 = USD 126 = RM416)

So where this extra USD 126/barrel income is channeled to by Malaysian Govt?????????

Another analysis:
1 barrel crude oil = 159 liters.
46-47% of a barrel of crude oil = fuel that we use in our vehicles.
46% of 159 = 73.14 liters.
@ RM 2.70/liter x 73.14 liter = RM197.48 of fuel per barrel of crude oil. This is only 46% of the barrel, mind you. Using RM 3.30 = USD 1, we get that a barrel of crude oil produces USD 59.84 worth of petrol fuel (46% of 1barrel). USD 59.84 of USD 130/barrel turns out to be 46% of a barrel as well.

Another 54% = bitumen, kerosene, and natural gases and so many more. And this makes a balance of USD 70.16 that has not been accounted for.

So this is where I got curious. Where is the subsidy if we are paying 46% of the price of a barrel of crude oil when the production of petrol/barrel of crude oil is still only 46%?

In actual fact, we still pay for this as they are charged in the forms of fuel surcharge by airlines and road taxes for the building of road (because they use the tar/bitumen) and many more excuse charging us but let us just leave all that out of our calculations.

As far as I know, only the politicians who live in Putrajaya and come for their Parliament meetings in Kuala Lumpur (approximately 60+ km) are the ones to gain as they claim their fuel and toll charges from the money of the RAKYAT's TAX.

It is so disappointing to see this happen time and time again to the Malaysian public, where they are deceived by the propaganda held by the politicians and the controls they have over the press.

Which stupid idiot economist equates rebates for rich or poor with the cc of the vehicles? An average office clerk may own a second hand 1300cc proton Iswara costing $7,000 (rebate = $625) while the Datuk's children can own a fleet of 10 new cars of BMW, Audi and Volvo all less than 2000cc costing $2 millions and get a total rebate of $625 x 10 = $6,250! Wow what kind of economists we are keeping in Malaysia ...wonder which phD certificate that they bought from...

Misleading concept of Subsidy:
The word "subsidy" has been brandished by the BN government as if it has so generously helped the rakyat and in doing so incurred losses. This simple example will help to explain the fallacy:

Example: Ahmad is a fisherman. He sells a fish to you at $10 which is below the market value of $15. Let's assume that he caught the fish from the abundance of the sea at little or no cost. Ahmad claims that since the market value of the fish is $15 and he sold you the fish for $10, he had subsidised you $5 and therefore made a loss of $5. Question : Did Ahmad actually make a profit of $10 or loss of $5 which he claimed is the subsidy?

Answer: Ahmad makes a profit of $10 which is the difference of the selling price ($10) minus the cost price ($0 since the fish was caught from the abundance of the sea). There is no subsidy as claimed by Ahmad. The BN government claims that it is a subsidy because the oil is kept and treated as somebody else's property (you know who). By right, the oil belongs to all citizens of the country and the government is a trustee for the citizens. So as in the above simple example, the BN government cannot claim that it has subsidised the citizen!

Thank you for reading. I am not against to anyone but I am definitely against stupidity, ignorance and oppression. Of course we cannot do anything about it or are we? As for me, I am just hoping that the sun shines and life is brighter again.... and oh ya, for the next election... come on Malaysian! Make a right choice this time...it will cost your wallet right?

Warm regards,
Miller

We'll never know

Being a women is a very tough task. We are prone to almost all of the 36 critical illnesses, we have a huge task in our marriage life to our husband and kids, we also have responsibilities to our parents especially if we are the elders or the only daughter in the family. A huge and tough task indeed.

I was at the Likas Hospital last month for my review when I got bored while waiting and start to read those article there. I really scared me when I look at the effect of breast cancer and I nearly shed a tears when I think about their family especially their kids.

It says in the article that early detection is the best but some of us we know do not have the money to go for further check up like mammogram. Realizing this problem there is a site where you can contribute just by clicking at the following button and you are there contributing.

The Breast Cancer Site

The other interesting part about this site is that they a selling a lot of beautiful jewellery and this butterfly neck less really caught my eyes. santik woooo....

But this bracelet also look nice :-and also this one. :P

There's also a true story shared by the survivor and the clickers. A very touching stories I must say. So start clicking and help those who need it the most. We never know who will need it later. (Palis...palis)

Pain Killer that kills

When I was still studying, I use to take paracetamol a.k.a panadol everytime my dear migraine "best friend" attack me. However, as I found that I became more depended to this pain killer, I revert to other option that is massage my feet which the result is good. And now, I never take any pain killer anymore. Everytime the "best friend" attack, I will take a bath and go to sleep.

Today, I received this very frightening email which makes me think back, what will happen to me now after taking those pain killer before? something to share with you all and for us to think about:-

DON'T TAKE PANADOL AND PANADOL ACTI FAST AND PANADOL SOLUBLE (ESP.PPL HAVE GASTRIC). ...

One real story from a guy.

My husband was working in a hospital as an IT engineer, as the hospital is planning to set up a database of its patient. And he knows some of the doctor quite well.

The doctors used to tell him that whenever they have a headache, they are not willing to take PANADOL (PARACETMOL). In fact, they will turn to Chinese Herbal Medicine or find other alternatives.
This is because Panadol is toxic to the body, and it harms the liver. According to the doctor, Panadol will reside in the body for at least 5 years. And according to the doctor, there used to be an incident where an air stewardess consumes a lot of panadol during her menstrual as she needs to stand all the time. She's now in her early 30's, and she needs to wash her kidney (DIALYSIS) every month.
As said by the doctor that whenever we have a headache, that's because it is due to the electron/Ion imbalance in the brain. As an alternative solution to cope with this matter, they suggested that we buy 1 or 2 cans of isotonic drink ( eg.100PLUS), and mix it with drinking water according to a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 (simply, it means one cup 100plus, one cup water.or 2 cups water).
Me and my husband have tried this on several occasions, and it seems to work well.

Another method will be to submerge your feet in a basin of warm water so that it bring the blood pressure down from your throbbing head.

As Panadol is a pain killer, the more Panadol you take, the lesser would be your threshold for pain (your endurance level for pain).

We all will fall ill as we aged, for woman, we would need to go through childbirth. Imagine that we had spent our entire life popping quite a substantial amount of Panadol (Pain Killer) when you need to have a surgery or operation, you will need a much more amount of general anesthetic to numb your surgical pain than the average person who seldom or rarely takes Panadol ..

If you have a very high intake of Panadol throughout your life (Migraine, Menstrual cramps) it is very likely that normal general anesthetic will have no effects on you as your body is pumped full with panadol and your body is so used to pain killer that you would need a much stronger pain killer, Morphine??

Value your life, THINK b4 you easily pop that familiar pill into your mouth again.

Save?

Read in one of Rajawang’s blog abut the PM asking the rakyat to save more and not to spend lavishly. The first thing pop-up in my head, don’t you think we are not saving before? Have you ever thought that we seldom buy new clothes? That we ONLY eat bun for launch? That we seldom go out on weekend? Just to save money and pay for all the necessary things in our life?

You can call me and hubby not an interesting people for we seldom go out to town if there are no necessary things to run. You can call us boring for after Sunday mass we straight away drive home and that’s it. Do house work or just rest. There is no such thing as “jalan-jalan cari makan” (leisure) for us. Don’t you thing we are saving like hell?

Each time the meter’s hand reaching the E sign we starts calculating the cash in hand and other option to cut, which is barely none for we are not spending lavishly. The only time you see us spending is when Christmas come. That you can’t say “hey there’s where you need to save.” Or I’ll call you a stupid cow. It’s Christmas for goodness sake. It’s not like We go and buy new furniture or TV. We just buy present and some new clothes (last year didn’t buy any new clothes either).

So here I want to ask our Dear Beloved PM, tell us where else we should cut our expenses? Are you saying that we don’t drive to work instead cycle? Are you saying that we don’t eat rice just eat grass? Are you saying we should cut off our medical expenses? Don’t get sick at all?

Start your own business. Good idea but where to get the money if your salary just below RM2K? Borrow from bank. Good idea but with what you will pay if you can’t start off good? Belum cuba belum tahu (you won’t know if you don’t try). Well true enough but where will you get the $$ to cover all the other expenses? Don’t afraid to take risk. Again true but this only apply to those RICH people. Mau makan apa kalau business tidak jalan?(What to eat if the business doesn’t runs well?)

Well I better stop or I will start saying all those nasty words for being so frustrated. Need to think harder. Macam mana mau jadi kaya ni? (How to get rich?)

The
Brick!!!

Read It.

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar.

He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared .
Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He slammed on the
brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown.
The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and
pushed him up against a parked car shouting,

'What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing?
That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money.
Why did you do it?'
The young boy was apologetic.

'Please, mister...please, I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do,'
He pleaded.
'I threw the brick because no one else would stop...'
With tears dripping down his face and off his chin,
the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car.

'It's my brother, 'he said.
'He rolled off the curb and fell out of his
wheelchair and I can't lift him up.'

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive,
'Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair?
He's hurt and he's too heavy for me.'

Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat.
He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen
handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts.
A quick look told him everything was going to be okay.

'Thank you and may God bless you,' the grateful child told the stranger.
Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy! push
his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home.

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable,
but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door.
He kept the dent there to remind him of this message:

'Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!'

God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts.
Sometimes when we don't have time to listen,
He has to throw a brick at us.
It's our choice to listen or not.

Thought for the Day:

If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring.
He sends you a sunrise every morning Face it, friend - He is crazy about you!

I am posting this here today and dedicate this to every 'beautiful person' who read this and I wish to bless you all.

God didn't promise days without pain,
laughter without sorrow,
sun without rain,
but He did promise strength for the day,
comfort for the tears,
and light for the way.

Read this line very slowly and let it sink in...

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

3 kali jer banggg...

"3 kali?"

Tan Sri tu agak terkejut, tapi tak la marah, dah tua dah dan memang berniat utk memaafkan isterinya,

"Bagaimana boleh terjadi 3 kali tu Maria?"

Perlahan jer la isteri dia mula membuka lebaran cerita lama,

"Abang ingatkan masa kita mula-mula kawin, terus beli rumah dan selang beberapa tahun, kita susah sangat masa tu hingga rumah kita hampir nak dirampas oleh bank"

"Ya, abang ingat peristiwa tu" jawab si suami.

Si isteri menyambung cerita,

"Abang pasti ingat yg pada satu petang tu Maria pergi jumpa pegawai bank tu dan esoknya, bank tu tak jadi rampas rumah kita, malah bagi tambahan pinjaman utk abang mulakan perniagaan.."

"Emmmm.. sukar buat abang menerima kenyataan ini, tapi abang maafkan maria kerana apa yg maria buat tu untuk masa depan kita jugak", kata si suami,

" Kali ke 2 pulak?"

"Abang ingat tak, abang hampir menemui maut sebab ketumbuhan dalam otak pembedahan?" si isteri menyambung cerita

"Ya, abang ingat" jawab si suami.

"Kalau macam tu, abang pasti ingat yg Maria ada pergi jumpa doktor pakar tu dan esoknya, dia setuju buat pembedahan utk abang tanpa bayaran apa-apa pun.."

"Oh maria, walau perit hati ini mendengarkan, tapi abang tetap maafkan maria sebab apa yg maria buat tu untuk masa depan kita jugak dan kerana sayangkan abang jugak.. yang kali ke 3 macam mana pulak? ", kata si Tan Sri.

Si isteri menundukkan mukanya dan menjawab penuh lemah,

"Abang, ingat tak masa abang bertanding merebut kerusi bahagian dan abang perlukan 248 undi lagi...."

Tan Sri pengsan kat situ jugak...

It's up AGAIN

Wendesday

I was on the way to Putatan via the Lintas bypass around 7pm when I got stuck in a bumper to bumper jam(Since my digicam went kaput recently, so no picture to prove but I am sure most of you know. This happen in the whole country!!!). Taught there's a roadblock or some accident in front but no. All of the car is waiting for their turn to pump petrol. Both of us (hubby and me) were in puzzled but soon after heard from the radio about the increase of petrol price. OMG petrol price have increased by 78 cents to RM2.70++ and diesel price by RM1 by midnight today!!!!. Gosh!!!!!

Did we join the crowd? nope. luckily we just bought a tank full last Monday and it's still full or else I think we will do the same.

This is crazy. I think we need to buy bike. The salary is not going to be raise soon (of us in the private sector) but the price of household and other goods have tremendously increased. Macam mana la mau hidup macam ni? (how to live like this?).

Havoc!!! The PM said something about giving rebate but I didn't quite catch it. Well guess I'll read it in the paper tomorrow. Meanwhile, I need to think for a plan to cover the hole in my purse each month.*sigh*

Lets spread the unity

Here In My Home is the title of the song, sang by the Malaysian Artiste for Unity. A very touching and meaningful song. The first time I heard this song over the radio, I wonder which group sand it and meant looking for the lyrics and video clips without knowing that it is actually a song by a group pf singer, actor, producers, etc. A meaningful song. A song of hope and racial unity.

(copy from
The Star)

"Written by project producer Pete Teo, the song and its music video showcase local artistes and celebrities ranging from arts activists, sportsmen to corporate figures.
Teo said the song was about hope and racial unity.

“The song has shadows in its lyrics – it is not a one-dimensional patriotic song. All who participated in the song and its music video did it because they believe in its message of hope and unity,” he said, adding that the project involved some 120 people.

Among those involved in the project included Afdlin Shauki, Awie, Ning Baizura, Jaclyn Victor, Reshmonu, Atilia, KLG Sqwad, Altimet, Suki, Daniel Lee, Datuk Tony Fernandes, Maya Karin, Singletrackmind, Stephen Chua, Shebby Singh, Sharifah Amani, Amber Chia and Ida Nerina.
Although predominantly an English composition, the song has a multi-lingual section sung in Malay, Mandarin and Tamil.

A Malay version of the song is in the works by Afdlin Shauki and other language versions of the song are expected to be unveiled in associated projects before long.

To a question, Teo said he travelled a lot overseas and thought it would be a nice idea to record a song with many personalities in it.

On the choice of participants, Teo said it represented the rakyat.
Teo said the fact that the project was completed in a month with zero budget said a lot about the people behind it.

“Nobody was paid. It was free. It took merely five weeks for the team to complete the production phase of the project from scratch.” --> This is what beautiful about this song

Music artiste and producer Jason Lo said he got involved in the song because it had to do with unity."

HERE IN MY HOME (by : MAFU)

HERE IN MY HOME
Verse 1
Hold on brother hold on
The road is long. We’re on stony ground
But I’m strong. You ain’t heavy

Verse 2
Oh there’s a misspoken truth that lies
Colors don’t bind, oh no.
What do they know? They speak falsely.

Chorus
Here in my home
I’ll tell you what its all about
There’s just one hope here in my heart
One love undivided
That’s what it’s all about
Please won’t you fall in one by one by one with me?

Verse 3
Push back sister won’t you push back?
Love won’t wait. Just keep pushing on.
Yes I’m strong. You ain’t heavy.

Verse 4
Oh don’t you worry about that…
What we have shadows can’t deny
Don’t you know it’s now or never?

Read and laugh baby

This is a letter from a very dissappointed husband or should I say a husband who just want to blame the wife. (Well I think most of you have red this before but anyway just to refresh you and make your cramp brain relax a bit)

TO MY DEAR WIFE:
During the past year I have tried to make love to you 365 times.
I have succeeded 36 times, which is an average of once every ten days.
The following is a list of why I did not succeed more often:
> 54 times the sheets were clean
> 17 times it was too late
> 49 times you were too tired
> 20 times it was too hot
> 15 times you pretended to be sleep
> 22 times you had a headache
> 17 times you were afraid of waking the baby
> 16 times you said you were too sore
> 12 times it was the wrong time of the month
> 19 times you had to get up early
> 9 times you said weren't in the mood
> 7 times you were sunburned
> 6 times you were watching the late show
> 5 times you didn't want to mess up your new hairdo
> 3 times you said the neighbors would hear us
> 9 times you said your mother would hear us

>>> Of the 36 times I did succeed, the activity was not satisfactory because:
>> 6 times you just lay there
> 8 times you reminded me there's a crack in the ceiling
> 4 times you told me to hurry up and get it over with
> 7 times I had to wake you and tell you I finished
> 1 time I was afraid I had hurt you because I felt you move

>> KEEP READING.......>> =====================================================

TO MY DEAR HUSBAND:
I think you have things a little confused. Here are the reasons you didn't get more than you did:
*5 times you came home drunk and tried to screw the cat
*36 times you did not come home at all
* 21 times you didn't cum
* 33 times you came too soon
* 19 times you went soft before you got in
*38 times you worked too late
*10 times you got cramps in your toes
*29 times you had to get up early to play golf
*2 times you were in a fight and someone kicked you in the balls
*4 times you got it stuck in your zipper
*3 times you had a cold and your nose was running
*2 times you had a splinter in your finger
*20 times you lost the notion after thinking about it all day
*6 times you came in your pajamas while reading a dirty book
*98 times you were too busy watching TV

Of the times we did get together:
* The reason I laid still was because you missed and were screwing the sheets.
*I wasn't talking about the crack in the ceiling, what I said was, "Would you prefer me on my back or kneeling?"
*The time you felt me move was because you farted and I was trying to breathe.
