The In thing this era

I was born in the era that computer is still not the in thing. Where typewriter is the only technology that we can use to replace our handwriting. PayPerPost? hmmm I think people at that era will strat scratching their heads wondering "What on earth is that?". At that point of time, the only way you'll be paid through writing is when you produce your own book or you send your writing to the paper. But then that also you need to have a very good vocabulary and fantastic ideas so to attract people to buy your book or to attract the publisher and pleased them so that they publish your story. That difficult to be paid through writing.

Now, at this new era, without having a very fantastic brain in writing and flowery words, you can still write, publish it and be pad for it. Waw!!! that's great isan't it?.....What am I talking about? well of course the PayPerPost or as other blogger called it PPP.

I am new in this blogging thing. As I was doing my usual blog hopping, I read a lot about this PPP and wonder what exactly is this PPP? Well one of my friend told me that I can get money by doing this PPP. Frankly I was not impressed at first. Why? Because I am not a writer. But reading people's review and comment about how they got their $$ and how they do it make me have this tough..."why don't I try and see how I do with it?" so here I am.. doing my PPP after being approved in the PPP family.I just wonder how by doing the PPP you can get the $$ ? well actualy, it is through the blog network. People visit you, people read and people tend to want to know what it is all about. That's what happen to me actually.

So you guys out there, why don't you try it as well and we see what happen and how good we are in writing. *laugh...laugh*

Easy Money part 2

I was suppose to finish up my Christmas shopping very soon to avoid any technical problem like, “eh lupa beli itu laaa…. Lupa beli ini laaa…” or “how I wish I’ve done the shopping earlier, I should’ve bought the…”.

Well frankly, I am 90% finish on my Christmas presents shopping but as for myself and hubby’s Christmas clothes… hmmmm not even a single receipt printed clothes. I am on a very tight budget after the Christmas gift shopping and wishing that I’ve done this earning through blogging earlier so that I don’t have to “kacau” my month end pay. But then this morning, after sending hubby for his monthly site visit meeting, I heard about this Debit Master Card.

With Debit MasterCard, it is more convenient and secure than carrying cash. There’s less of ATM queues and no more hassles with everyday purchases and most importantly, you have more control over your money.

Linked to a savings or current account, the Debit MasterCard card allows you to make transactions using your funds at the point of payment rather than make purchase on credit. After each card transaction, the fund amount will be automatically deducted from your account and reflected in your bank statement, thereby giving you the added benefit of always knowing how much money you have in your account. It is accepted everywhere MasterCard is -- at more than 25 million locations worldwide. You can also use your Debit MasterCard card to do shopping over the Internet and to make purchases over the phone.

Wah is it that easy? It can make you guys out there who love shopping have a big grin from ear to ear.

Lets start the countdown..

Leave me some present will you...

Easy Money

Credit card? I am sure, I mean 100% positively sure that most of us have our own credit card . Some may even have 3 to 4 credit cards and imagine the hassle you have to go through every month to pay for the bills!!!!.
Well I just came across this solution for all of us who is *ehem…eham…* a shopaholic. LOL… visit this site Tune Money. It’s just like prepaid phone. The Tune Card is a prepaid Visa card. It’s a reloadable card that allows you to only spend the amount that you have pre-deposited into your account. If you don’t like debt or you don’t want to carry cash around, then a prepaid card is what you need. You just need to put in some money and you don’t have to keep in mind that you are going to overspend. Ok.. ok… maybe some of us still does not eligible for credit cards but with tune card, you will always be eligible. Even if you qualify for a conventional credit card, think how wonderful it would be to finally live within your means, never spending more than you earn. And there’s no financing charges, no late fees to deal with.

With Tune Card, there are no salary requirements, no credit checks, and no calls to your HR manager to find out if in fact, you do work at the company, and by the way, if they could just ask: "how much does so and so actually earn ah?". And what’s more important is, you don’t need to have a bank account to qualify.

Fees and charges? Well of course you have to pay for it but it’s affordable. The annual fees for the basic tune card is RM9.99. Hey before I forgot, you can also withdraw money through the ATM using this card. That’s great isn’t it?.

Holiday...Holiday..

Got tagged by Edgar while attending my Strategic planning sharing at Hyatt last friday and only got the chance to do it today so this is what holiday mean to me...

What The Holidays Mean to You

For you, the holidays are about generosity. You give as much as you possibly can to friends, family, and charity.
You celebrate the holidays in a offbeat style. You believe the holidays are for doing whatever you feel like - and some of your "traditions" are pretty wacky.
During the holidays, you feel magical. You love all of the decorations and how happy people are. You like to sit back and take it all in.
You think the holidays should be nostalgic and sweet. The holidays bring out your inner child.
Your best holiday memories are of childhood foods and traditions. You secretly still wish you believed in Santa Claus.

ADVENT

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel
O come, O come, Emmanuel,
and ransom captive Israel,

That mourns in lonely exile here,

Until the Son of God appear.

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel!

O come, thou Rod of Jesse, free thine own from Satan's tyranny;

From depths of hell thy people save

and give them victory o'er the grave.

O come, thou Dayspring, come and cheer our spirits by thine advent here;

Disperse the gloomy clouds of night, and death's dark shadows put to flight.

Oh, come, thou Key of David, come, and open wide our heavenly home;

Make safe the way that leads on high and close the path to misery.

O come, O come, thou Lord of Might, who to thy tribes, on Sinai's height,

In ancient times didst give the law in cloud and majesty and awe.

Yesterday the 2nd of December 2007 marked the begining of advent. So lets share what advent ment..
The word 'advent' is Latin for 'a coming or arrival'. The idea behind it is that God came to earthly life and lived among us, which is news to stop the presses for. It's something to celebrate, rejoice, because just by being in it, God was giving the supreme blessing to the created world. But this birth led to an execution of this same God, by us on behalf of us, and then the greatest news that death will not end it all. So it's not something you just go rushing into. We need to take stock of what that baby Jesus was here for. When we go all goo-goo over the baby and the birth, the adult Jesus and His execution are also in sight.

Begin with Advent, the four weeks before Christmas. It is a time of preparation, waiting and hope. The Advent liturgy resounds with the longing cries of the Hebrew prophets, the voice of Jesus, and John the Baptist's preaching that the Lord is near. Hear their message still ringing through today's dark winters. The brief meditations on the Gospels for the Sundays of Advent found in this section may help you listen to their voices.

Among the customs of Advent, the Advent wreath is probably the most important. Lighting the Advent candles each day with a prayer can prepare your household for Christmas. For children, an Advent calendar marking off the days before Christmas can be an aid for living the season.
And since Santa Claus suddenly appears everywhere at this time, why not remember the saint who is likely his original-- St. Nicholas, whose feast day is December 6th? His example of quiet, generous giving is worth recalling, especially for children.

Smile

031207 1000

It's 3rd of December. Man how time flies. I received this touching email from a friend which really touch my heart. I was suppose to forward this email but tought why don't I just put it in me blog and let everybody read it? so here we goes. I think some of you may have read this:-

Breakfast at McDonald's

This is a good story and is true, please read it all the way through until the end! (After the story, there are some very interesting facts!):

"I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree. The last class I had to take was Sociology.

The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with.

Her last project of the term was called, 'Smile.'

The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions.

I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway. So, I thought this would be a piece of cake, literally.

Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I went out to McDonald's one crisp March morning.

It was just our way of sharing special playtime with our son.

We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away, and then even my husband did.

I did not move an inch... an overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved.

As I turned around I smelled a horrible 'dirty body' smell, and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men.

As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was 'smiling.'

His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched for acceptance.

He said, 'Good day' as he counted the few coins he had been clutching.

The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized the second man was mentally challenged and the blue-eyed gentleman was his salvation.

I held my tears as I stood there with them.

The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted.

He said, 'Coffee is all Miss' because that was all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm).

Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes. That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging my every action.

I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray.

I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand.

He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, 'Thank you.'

I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, 'I did not do this for you. God is here working through me to give you hope.'

I started to cry as I walked away to join my husband and son. When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said, 'That is why God gave you to me, Honey, to give me hope.'

We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew that only because of the Grace that we had been given were we able to give.

We are not church goers, but we are believers.

That day showed me the pure Light of God's sweet love.

I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand.

I turned in 'my project' and the instructor read it.
Then she looked up at me and said, 'Can I share this?'

I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class.

She began to read and that is when I knew that we as human beings and being part of God share this need to heal people and to be healed.

In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald's, my son, instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student.

I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn:
UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE.
"

Much love and compassion is sent to each and every person who may read this and learn how to LOVE PEOPLE AND USE THINGS - NOT LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE.

There is an Angel sent to watch over you.

In order for her to work, you must pass this on to the people you want watched over. (So I am passing this to all of you my friend)

An Angel wrote:
"Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

To handle yourself, use your head.
To handle others, use your heart.

God Gives every bird it's food, but He does not throw it into its nest.

Send it back, you'll see why !

A Box of gold "

that has never been told

This box is priceless but as I see
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The treasure inside is precious to me

Today I share this treasure with thee

It's the treasure of friendship you've given me.

Aku bukannya tamak tapiii....

281107 0850

I was suppose to do the tag from Carol and Emily but I just got really blur and blank and really can't think. (did I say this twice already?).

Yesterday was a very frustrating day for me. I really need the internet connection to run well because I was suppose to get email and prints a lot of reports out of it BUT the connection seems too jelous of me that it keeps on coming out as error everytime I log in.

Ok enough of the bla..bla..bla... The title is all about this story that I am going to tell you.I've received this email fro a friend and feel like I really need post it here. Yes I know it is a lame old story but what the h**k I don't care I still want to post it here so you guys just have to read it. LOL (evil laugh....)

"Pada satu hari, Pak Ali pergi ke hutan untuk mencari kayu api. Apabila lalu kat kawasan tasik, Pak Ali tergelincir dan kapak buruknye terjatuh dalam tasik tu. Maka datanglah Pari Pari Tasik kepada Pak Ali.
Pari Pari: Kenapa dengan kau?
Pak Ali: Kapak aku terjatuh kedalam tasik.
Pari Pari pun menyelam dan kembali bersama kapak perak.
Pari Pari: Inikah kapak kamu?
Pak Ali: Tidak. Pari Pari pun menyelam dan kembali bersama kapak emas.
Pari Pari: Inikah kapak kamu?
Pak Ali: Tidak, kapak aku buruk sahaja. Pari pari pun menyelam dan kembali bersama kapak buruk.
Pari Pari: Inikah kapak kamu?
Pak Ali: Ya, itulah kapak buruk aku.

Pak Ali susah hati. Maka datanglah Pari Pari Tasik kepada Pak Ali.

Pari Pari: Kenapa kau bersedih?
Pak Ali: Isteriku jatuh kedalam tasik. Pari Pari pun menyelam dan kembali bersama Christina Aguilera.
Pari Pari: Inikah isteri kau?
Sambil menangis Pak Ali menjawab... "ya, itulah isteriku..."
Pari Pari pun marah, "Sungguh ku tak sangka, kau yang jujur satu masa dulu telah menjadi tamak".

Sambil menahan pilu Pak Ali menjawab, "Aku bukan tamak, kalau aku kata 'tidak' pada Christina Aguilera... kau akan bawakan pula Britney Spears...kalau aku katakan 'tidak' juga, barulah kau bawakan isteriku...bila aku kata 'ya', kau akan berikan mereka bertiga padaku...". Aku yang miskin ni tak mampu tanggung mereka semua".

My angels

24th Nov 2007 0915

Every time Christmas approaches I always have in mind this question "What gift am I going to buy for my two younger brother?". You see there are growing up, I mean really fast. I can't still buy them those cheap toys anymore nor can I afford to buy them those expensive gifts. I ever once ask them to write their wish list for Christmas gift and when I read it OMG OMG OMG they ask for Hand phone (with specific brand some more), PSP, Xbox... and all the expensive gadget yo just name it, its in their list.(Mati la kakak kamurang macam ni).

Well this year, I sort of give them advance Christmas gift (I share with my 2nd sister actually). A trip to KL and of course having fun at Genting City of Entertainment.

(I can't really remember when this photo taken but surely not this year)

Well I think I will need to start cracking my head to think what are the things to buy for their second Christmas gift.

House anyone..?

231107 1200

I have been planning or should I say more to been dreaming to build my own house since I finish my study way back in 2000. And now it is begining to come true. Well nothing much happen actually, just visualizing and cost accounting actually. Land? hehehe got already, $$? ermmmm.. got the plan where to look for, plan?.... ermmmmm imaginary yes... Actually my family house is quite big and spacey.(did I spell it correct?).As for me, well I don't really like a big house. Anybody can give me some idea how big I can build a house with RM150,000.00 budget?

I know..I know... it is frustrating when you have the image in your mind but can't even transfer it in the paper.(again being someone who is not artistic). So apa lagi, I browse through the net and wallaaaaa.... found these two sites with a lot of house plans and picture.

cool house plans

eplans

Well the truth is, the pictures does not really match what I have in mind but at least I have a bit of what I dream of in some of the pictures. You know I really love house with a big veranda covering maybe 1/2 of the house, Split level single storey, with maybe 3 bedroom, 2 restroom, kitchen (of course la kan), separate dining room, family living room and guest living room. (wah what a dream got $$ ka?).

(I also want to have this type of landscape)

Well DH is a Quantity Sourveyor so I am sure he knows how to calculate the cost and put everything in place. As of now, I am doing my sourvey on what to put inside the house and how to decorate it.

Okey I should pen off now and browse for my dream Interior Design.(I ever dream once to become an Interior Designer but I fail in my "Lukisan". *sob..sob..sob..)

.......will be continue with the inside of the house.....

It's coming..

201107 0830

Yes, Christmas is coming. I think I am the only one who haven't talk about x'mas. Everybody else is soooo excited. Well to tell the truth, after my beloved mum passed away 4 years ago, Christmas for me is just another holiday. Really. You see, losing someone who is the one who always bring the light of x'mas in you house really makes you sad and can't even think about celebrating x'mas. But this year, I have been doing blog-hopping and eveybody seems to have the spirit of x'mas since as far as October, so thanks to you guys, now I am up and about. I myself is excited to celebrate x'mas.

With the fire burning up the excitment of x'mas, I do my usual surf of what christmas really means and everthing about x'mas in all things christmas . (not that I don't know what Christmas all about my whole life). You can definitley find everything you want to know about x'mas there.

Here are some of the things that I came accross:-

Christmas is an annual holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus. Christmas festivities often combine the commemoration of Jesus' birth with various secular customs, many of which have been influenced by earlier winter festivals. The date as a birthdate for Jesus is traditional, and is not considered to be his actual date of birth.

The word "Christmas" is a contraction of two words "Christ's mass" and is derived from the Middle English Christemasse and Old English Cristes mæsse, a phrase first recorded in 1038. In early Greek versions of the New Testament, the letter Χ (chi), is the first letter of Christ (Χριστός). Since the mid-16th century Χ, or the similar Roman letter X, was used as an abbreviation for Christ. Thus, Xmas is an abbreviation for Christmas.

The Christmas wreath is a symbol of god’s eternal love for us. The violet candle symbolizes faith and the rose colored candle the joy of the advent season. The first candle placed on the Christmas wreath is known as the Prophets candle signifying the hope of the arrival of Jesus’ arrival. The second candle is the Bethlehem candle, reminding people that God was born in a humble manner in a manger.

The third candle to be lit on the Xmas wreath is the Shepherds candle and the last is the angels candle. This is the symbol of the peace and joy that the advent season offers us. The Christmas wreaths are also used in the protestant churches and in all the parts of the world.

Presently you can select from a wide variety of Christmas wreaths that are easily available in the markets. You can select Balsam Fir or the Scotch pine as a background for the Christmas wreaths. Christmas wreaths are placed in homes on the front doors or the balcony. This is a sign that you welcome the advent season into your house.
You can select from a wide range of Christmas wreaths according to the other home decorations. The Christmas wreathe can also be decorated by the use of ribbons and bells. The wreaths can be given a personal touch by adding some natural cones and berries to the wreathe. The Christmas wreathe can easily be detached as you take down the decorations of your house and keep it for the next advent season. Christmas wreathes can also be made by your own hands. With a little imagination and creativity it is possible to prepare a wreathe that will delight you and add to the beauty of the Christmas decorations as well.

Did you know that…

.......In Brazil, Christmas presents are hidden outdoors (it is warm and they do not have to worry about snow) and children have to search for them.
.......The words 'Kriss Kringle' mean Christ-child and form the basis of a medieval legend that the infant Jesus himself gave presents.
.......A South Carolina mother had her 12-year-old son arrested for opening his Christmas presents too early in 2006.
........Buy-Nothing-Christmas is a movement that wishes to de-commercialize Christmas by inviting people to become members and practice the group’s ideals. The campaign later changed into a broader “Buy Nothing Day”. The “Buy Nothing Day” website says the special non-buying day is now observed in 55 countries.
........Have you ever wondered about the total cost of each item in the "Twelve Days of Christmas" song? The grand total of the contents of the song for 2006 is $18,920.59. And that's in U.S. Dollars!

how I wish this is how we choose christmas tree here in Sabah.

Sisters...

191107 2030

Something so beautiful to share with you...

A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day, drinking iced tea and visiting with her Mother.
As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations ofadulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter.

"Don't forget your Sisters," she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. "They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need Sisters. Remember to go places with them now and then; do things with them."

"Remember that 'Sisters' means ALL the women...your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other women relatives too. "You'll need other women. Women always do."

What a funny piece of advice!' the young woman thought. Haven't I just gotten married? Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely my husband and the family we may start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!'

But she listened to her Mother. She kept contact with her Sisters and made more women friends each year. As the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her Mom really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman, Sisters are the mainstays of her life.

After more than 30+ years of living in this world, here is what I've learned:

THIS SAYS IT ALL:

Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.
Hearts break.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors.
Careers end.
BUT.........

Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you.
A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach.
When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your lifewill be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at thevalley's end.

Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walkbeside you...
Or come in and carry you out.
Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers,Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our life!

The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys orsorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other.

Every day, we need each other still.

Some brilliant idea for your guys

191107 0830

As my daily exercises, as soon as I switch on my computer, I will go through my emails.

I am sure most of you guys heard about the possibilities that the petrol price will increase again. Well last week while having our breakfast, me and my colleague talk about what will happen if the oil price increase but our salary never increase (I am not working with the government you know..Lucky those government peeps). And this morning, as if somebody heard what we discussed and the possibilities will happen, I received this email showing exactly the things we've thought of:-

Just imagine what will happen if this really happen? LOL
